Faith Wilding

February 15, 2014

On Saturday Feb 15th the WCA will present lifetime achievement awards to four artists: Phyllis Bramson, Harmony Hammond, Adrian Piper, and Faith Wilding. The first stop on the Equilibrium bus tour was to the Three Walls Gallery where a retrospective of Wildings work was on display. My favorite part of this exhibition was the inclusion of many of her sketches that had not been shown together before. Wilding’s sketches had wonderful poems, quotes, and thoughts on them. I have always loved seeing into an artists body of work through their sketches.
The second stop was at Woman Made Gallery for the Equilibrium exhibition. Photos will be coming soon.

Before the bus tour I was excited to find paper making at the CAA conference!

This was a beautiful, ethereal exhibit. Thanks for sharing.
